Barafu Camp

Barafu Camp is a high, exposed summit camp used before the final ascent on several southern Kilimanjaro routes. Trekkers usually arrive, eat, rest briefly, and begin the summit attempt around midnight.

Conditions can be cold, windy, and demanding, so this camp is about safety and preparation. The crew focuses on hydration, warm meals, clothing checks, and timing for the summit push.
